Sea Glass

I have been knitting tonight...
I a little sweater for my grand delight, daughter Sorren.
the colors remind me of the sea glass that I love to look for on the beach...
There is nothing I like more than walking along the shore, my eyes scanning the sand and the surf, looking for treasures, some to take home in my bag, others in my minds eye...
I have always loved looking for finds on the beach... after the big storms are the best. but it doesn't matter, sun or fog, rain or shine, There is always just the treasure of walking on the beach and refreshing my inner self...there is nothing like a good walk along the beach for clearing your head and cleansing your soul...
There is always peace for me, something that endlessly draws me... forever towards the shore....
I yearn for it as I leave, and miss it before I have gone. the air is so different, so unique, I think it is something in the blood...
I want so much to just never leave....
Obsessive of me I know...
I have been thinking and planning my next quilt/wall hanging...I find getting so much satisfaction from little wall hangings... they seem to go together so quick and finish so fast and there I am with a quilt! it's like a birth only so much faster... so hard to explain to someone who is not an artist...
I just feel so nourished...
Anyway, I was thinking of water and showing movement of water, and the sun on the water....I think I need a design wall....
Oh well. I think I need sleep more...
I haven't been doing nearly enough of that lately... I need to rest and heal...I need to take better care of my damned aging body....
it ain't getting any easier...
Why make it harder?
Night all...
In some ways I am glad that I am not in any areas of the country that are getting snowed in... but after reading Joanna Powell Colbert's article in "Sacred Places Near and Far" Sagewoman winter issue #71 Joy...I must admit that I am very envious of her living up in the islands...I so want to go home...
Off to dream...
At least I can go there in my dreams....
My little house on the hill, above the cove on the ocean...
The door is green, and red, and round...with a window and big iron ring handle...
there is lots of light in the rooms and the studio is off to one side...and someone is waiting for me, my friends are there, and the otters, they are there,
playing.....
