Chalk-o-Lot 2008 Flagstaff

Every Labor Day week end we head up the hill and attend the chalk-a-Lot at the Art in the Park festival in Flagstaff. The event is put on by a great local artist, David Grandon, of the Grandon Gallery on Leroux. Here is an article on this years events:

That works for me, I can draw or knit.....the baby likes to play in the mud....Happy!

Dancing in the Park

We headed up to Flagstaff for the long weekend, with Chany and Jerry and the kids in tow. We got a late start at the Chalk-o-Lot event, but enjoyed the day, the music, belly dancers, vendors, food (well some of it), and really enjoyed watching the kids have fun, dance and play!

Will you dance?

This video was featured on the NASA Astronomy picture of the day, a while back, in July I think, but I just found it on good old YouTube!

It is about the connections that we make, without the use of language, sharing joy, in a simple but very profound way.

It made me laugh, and smile and think, that there is after all, possibilities......

It also really reminded me of my wonderful niece Sasha, and her joy, and the pleasure and wonder she finds in the world around her...

We keep trying to educated children, yet we have so much to learn form them!
