Under what rock?

Ok, so I have finally crawled out from my rock....

Ok, some one must have turned it over, all that sunlight finally got to me...

Well it was really the heat... lack of air conditioning will really slow you down, unless you are two and a half, it seems that nothing affects you at that age, except maybe naps or the treat of them....

Ha ha ha .....

The MoNsTer Boy has been returned to mom and sent off to camp for some much needed kid type fun...I may get to have him back sometime before school starts mid August... we shall see, we had a great time together, and he got lots of techno-social time with his cousins (they played video and computer games).

The Birthday from hell has come and gone, very ho hum...got to stay at a fairly nice hotel in Tucson with sushi and a storm, but have had a hard time with just the whole birthday thing. I don't think it's so much the birthday, as it is just another birthday, maybe it was just lack of Rhubarb pie.

The Hotel was very nice...

the pool...and spa,

There was also a three really nice little courtyards with fountains and benches, only one pictured, but you get the idea.... very nice even during the hot part of the day, and the main lobby was really pretty, that is where we had breakfast.... waffles, hot oatmeal, eggs, sausage, or bacon, depending on the day, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, mini muffins and pastry, cereal, orange and apple juice, milk, and COFFEE!!!!!!

What more could you ask for, oh that would be two complementary drinks while sitting poolside in the evening, and chips and salsa! Brendan was in hog heaven.....

The hostess knew him by name... probably the only 10 year old there tipping (thanks Nana)...

The room was nice, cool, we had a little balcony, our room is up on the top floor, in the right corner of the courtyard picture...it was really good, the balcony doors had a lock up on the very tippy top so Sorren couldn't open it... although she did try taking the room key and swiping it through the middle of the door to get it to open (too cute)....she turned the air conditioning off and turned the heater on more than once a day (not cool)...but we did have a good time.

I even got to go to Ikea on the way home... I only bought one thing for myself, my one jar of jam. I got some picture frames for Sorren's room and a cover for her down comforter, a door organiser for Phoebee's room (yeah, like that will work!) and some extra bed raisers, so I can lift up a my little buffet table to cut fabric on...

I didn't even get lunch ( boy was that a mistake).

I did get to the doctor to check out my sinuses again, and they are getting better, antibiotics are finally kicking in, had him do a full set of blood work....

best results I've had since 2006, since I was "pre-diabetic"...

everything was great, my blood pressure was low, cholesterol low, long term glucose was the lowest I've been, considered non diabetic, or very well controlled diabetic, even my liver studies were great....

I am felling better, but I still feel like I have no handle on this disease at all. I figure that the best thing I can do is to do all I can, educate myself, and take car of myself, cause no one else is gonna do it for me!

So I try to do a little everyday, I get a few newsletters and things online now, and there is some good stuff in there and some crap... just like everything else, I guess....

I gotta stay healthy, who else is going to take care of my Sorren if I'm not around... besides, I've got a few projects in the works that I want to start, and in some cases, finish.... another 40 years or so ought to do it...maybe more....we'll see....
